SampsonRMC encourages the community to carefully review plans when selecting healthcare coverage

As the end of the year is quickly approaching, beneficiaries should begin to explore their healthcare coverage options for the upcoming year. This can be a daunting task for most individuals, which is why Sampson Regional Medical Center (SampsonRMC) encourages individuals to take time to review each plan carefully. 

"It is important to know your coverage and understand not all health plans are accepted by every hospital or physician," stated Jerry Heinzman, Chief Financial Officer for SampsonRMC. Mid-October through the first of the year is a time when many beneficiaries review their current Medicare, Medicaid, and Marketplace plan coverage to explore options for the upcoming year. "As your community hospital, we understand the options are many, and the answers are few. While we can not endorse any products or plans, we do offer these tips," explained Heinzman.

Sampson Regional Medical Center (SampsonRMC) is pleased to announce that Ashlee Hornick, PA-C, has joined Sampson Orthopedic Group, expanding access to expert orthopedic care in our community. Hornick will work alongside Dr. Mark Moriarty, providing diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care for all orthopedic conditions.
Hornick brings six years of experience in orthopedic medicine. Orthopedic clinic to open this fall

Sampson Regional Medical Center is pleased to announce the recruitment of Dr. Mark Moriarty, a highly skilled and experienced orthopedic surgeon, to join its medical team. Dr. Moriarty has a strong commitment to providing exceptional, compassionate care to the community and will bring with him expertise in caring for a wide range of orthopedic conditions.  

Dr. Moriarty joins Sampson Regional Medical Center from Mission Health, located in Franklin, NC. He is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon highly capable of all general orthopedic cases, including joints, hips, and hands. He is skilled in complex shoulder repair and has a special interest in the treatment of sports injuries.

Sampson Regional Medical Center is proud to announce, effective June 3rd, the launch of its new Inpatient Dialysis Service, offering enhanced care and convenience for patients requiring dialysis treatment during their hospital stay.

Recognizing the importance of providing comprehensive care to patients with renal conditions, Sampson Regional Medical Center has invested in state-of-the-art dialysis equipment to provide bedside dialysis needed for patients requiring hospitalization. The dialysis team consists of a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including nephrologists, hospitalists, and specially trained dialysis nurses, ensuring a coordinated and personalized care plan for each patient, promoting optimal health outcomes.
