Sampson Regional Invites Community to Share Reflections for Time Capsule

Clinton, NC, August 2026: As Sampson Regional Medical Center concludes a year of celebrating 75 years of caring for our community, the hospital is inviting patients, families, team members, local businesses, healthcare partners, and community members to become part of its history.

Participants are encouraged to share a memory of a time Sampson Regional Medical Center made a difference in their lives, reflect on what the hospital has meant to their family or community, or leave a message expressing their hopes for what the hospital will represent for future generations.

Each submission will be placed inside the hospital's commemorative time capsule, where it will remain until it is opened during Sampson Regional Medical Center's 100th anniversary celebration in 2050.

"Over the past 75 years, the story of Sampson Regional Medical Center has been written not only by the people who have worked here, but also by the patients, families, volunteers, community physicians, businesses, and neighbors who have trusted us with their care and supported our mission," said Amber Halstead, VP of Business Development. "This project gives our community an opportunity to leave a personal message for the future—a lasting reminder of the relationships and experiences that have shaped our hospital."

The hospital welcomes participation from everyone in the community, including:

  • Patients and their families
  • Current and former team members
  • Retirees
  • Physicians and healthcare professionals
  • Volunteers
  • Local businesses and community organizations
  • Current and former board members
  • Anyone whose life has been touched by Sampson Regional Medical Center

Beginning Monday, August 17th, community members may submit their response two ways:

  • Pick up a response card in the hospital's front lobby (Beaman Street entrance), complete it, and place it in the designated collection box.
  • Submit online by emailing srmcpr@sampsonrmc.org

All submissions should be received by August 31, 2026.

Whether it's a story of compassionate care, a cherished memory, words of gratitude, or hopes for the next generation, every voice will help preserve the legacy of Sampson Regional Medical Center for those who open the time capsule 25 years from now.
