About the DAISY & BEE Awards
The DAISY Award honors nurses who demonstrate extraordinary clinical skill and compassionate care, while the BEE Award recognizes all staff members who go above and beyond to support patients, families, and colleagues. Together, these awards celebrate the teamwork that makes exceptional patient care possible. Although each award recognizes a different role, both are equally meaningful and represent the highest level of recognition for outstanding service and compassion.
DAISY and BEE Awards are presented twice each year to recognize outstanding SampsonRMC employees, with up to four employees honored annually. Award recipients are celebrated during a special recognition ceremony. If the employee you nominate is selected to receive an award, you will be notified and invited to attend the ceremony as a special guest! Thank you for taking the time to nominate an employee.
About The DAISY Foundation™
The DAISY Foundation was established by the family of J. Patrick Barnes after he died from complications of the autoimmune disease ITP in 1999. During his hospitalization, they deeply appreciated the care and compassion shown to Patrick and his entire family. When he died, they felt compelled to say “thank you” to nurses in a very public way.
