Patient Education

How many doctors will be caring for me?

The goal of patient education is to provide each patient a general knowledge of his or her specific medical problem. Inpatient education is done on a one-to-one basis and may be provided by your primary care nurse or by a registered nurse specially trained to provide patient education.  We invite you to inform your nurse if you have any specific educational needs or concerns.

We also offer a series of Outpatient Education classes to assist patients in their recovery after discharge or to help with the ongoing management of certain diseases and conditions.  Some of these classes include:  Heart Healthy Living, Diabetes Management, and Weight Loss for Life.  To learn more, visit our Community Programs & Resources pages or view our Calendar of Events for upcoming activities and classes.
