Job Summary:
The Practice Supervisor, under the direction of the Practice Management Executive Director and in collaboration with the center Medical Director, manages and directs the daily activities of the practice while ensuring patient satisfaction. Performs administrative duties such asentering timesheets, participating in interviewing and hiring of new staff, participating in annual evaluation of staff and ensuring all staffcompetencies completed timely. Responsible for ensuring center is in compliance with all CLIA, Joint Commission and state/federal regulations as they relate to the center. Performs Employee Health Nurse duties for SRMC employees which includes administering and reading PPD skin tests or evaluate signs and symptoms of positive reactors. Offer, explain and provide immunization vaccines as needed to include Hepatitis B vaccine, MMR and varicella and flu vaccine. Maintain employee health files.
Qualifications:
* Graduate of accredited school of nursing. RN required.
* BLS required.
* Minimum five years' experience in a healthcare or practice setting.
* Minimum two to three years supervisory experience desirable.
* Previous experience in employee health and/or occupational medicine highly desirable.
* Knowledge of organization policies, procedures, systems and objectives.
* Knowledge of fiscal management and human resource management techniques.
* Proficiency with EMR.
* Skill in planning, organizing and supervising.
* Skill in exercising initiative, judgment, problem-solving and decision-making.
* Skill in developing and maintaining effective relationships with medical and administrative, patients and general public.
* Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
* Ability to interpret, adapt and apply guidelines and policies and procedures.
* Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
* Ability to delegate authority, responsibility to other staff personnel as deemed necessary to perform their assigned duties.
* Ability to counsel/discipline personnel as requested or as may become necessary.
* Ability to handle information in a confidential manner.
