| Will function as a key player on The Center for Health and Wellness at Sampson Regional Medical Center team. Will perform fitness assessments, write exercise prescriptions, conduct equipment orientations, manage and track member exercise programs, lead personal training sessions, teach health education sessions both in-house and in the community, create fitness programming, etc. |
| Will serve as an expert on health and fitness for the members and the community. Will be responsible for the cleanliness and operating function of the facility and all exercise equipment. Will have Manager on Duty responsibilities. Will serve as a member of The Center for Health and Wellness team and will be expected to contribute to the goals and duties in the facility as needed. |
| Bachelor Degree in Exercise Physiology or equivalent degree. 2-3 years of hospital based wellness experience or related experience. CPR/First Aid Certification. ACSM or NSCA Certifications. ACLS, CPO, Personal Training and/or Aerobics Certification preferred. Computer experience including Word, Excel and Access preferred. Must be willing to work under direction and accept instructions and correction. Remember details of instructions. Must be alert, adaptable, patient, cheerful, and friendly to all persons entering the building. Must have the ability to organize and complete tasks in a timely manner. Must work well as part of an interdisciplinary team. Must be a strong example, proponent and participant of health and fitness |
